Dr. Andy Broeren is research engineer at NASA Glenn Research Centerâ€™s Icing Branch. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and has over 15 yearsâ€™ experience in low-speed, experimental aerodynamics and wind-tunnel testing. He has conducted numerous research programs investigating in-flight icing effects on airfoil/wing aerodynamics including ice-protected and unprotected surfaces. This work is described in over 40 journal articles, conference papers and reports. Dr. Broeren is a member of the SAE AC-9C Icing Technology Committee. He is an associate fellow of AIAA and is a past-chair of the Atmospheric and Space Environments Technical Committee.
