Mr. Paul Pellicano is the icing specialist at the FAA’s Small Airplane Directorate where he is responsible for regulations and policy for icing certification of part 23 airplanes, and icing related continued airworthiness issues. Mr. Pellicano also supports aircraft and engine icing certification projects and various icing research projects. Since 1981 and before joining the FAA in 1998, he had worked as a flight test engineer for Lockheed Martin; Gulfstream Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and Fairchild Republic. Paul is a member of the SAE AC-9C Icing Technology Committee. Mr. Pellicano received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of NY in 1981 and a M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Polytechnic Institute of NY in 1986.
